GOOD Vibrations: The Girls Edition
Saturday 8 August 2026 | Jersey Surf School, Surf Shak, The Watersplash, St Ouen's Bay | FREE
Whether you've never surfed before or you've been charging for years, there's a place for you. GOOD Vibrations: Girls Edition is a brand new female-focused surf festival, created to get more girls and women into the water in a welcoming, unintimidating, ridiculously fun environment. No egos. Just good vibes.
Think 80s fancy dress, neon everything, big hair, and a beach full of girls cheering each other on — not judging each other's surfing. Winning isn't the point. Getting in the water, having a laugh, and leaving with a bit more confidence than you arrived with — that's the point.
Who's it for?
Girls and women of every level. Complete beginners, first-timers, mums, teenagers, young girls, and experienced surfers alike. Nobody should feel intimidated — the lineup belongs to everyone.
The theme
80s. Bright colours. Fancy dress. Neon. Big hair. Retro surf culture. Fancy dress is encouraged, not compulsory — come as you are or go all in, either way you'll fit right in.

All day on the beach
Hair braiding, face painting, artwork on boards, skate zone, slushy pong, volleyball, and the empowerment wall — plus a surf etiquette talk, Danni's salsa session, John Harvey's aerobics class, 80s karaoke, and DJs keeping the disco going all day.
Why we're doing this
Surfing locally has become increasingly male-dominated. GOOD Vibrations: Girls Edition exists to change that — one wave, one girl, one good vibe at a time. It's about removing the intimidation of the lineup, celebrating female surfers of every level, and building a community that keeps coming back long after the day is over.
The cost? Nothing. It's free, on purpose — no barriers, just get in the water.
Come for the surfing. Stay for the community.
